New shopping Centre

For those of you who come but once a year (as the saying goes) you'll be surprised to learn that half way down the Mulsanne straight on the left (opposite Leroy Merlin) they have built a new shopping centre similar to that at Auchan north of Le Mans. It isn't open yet but will be for the race and there are 88 new shops there. I don't know what yet since they are still building it but it might be worth a look if you are looking for things. There are certainly several new restaurants in there though. For the moment though, although there are rumours, Carrefour are staying where they are. From Maison Blanche turn left to the roundabout and left again, straight on until the Mulsanne straight and it's opposite.

I will be travelling down in a Z4 coupe so I'm hoping there will be places to buy stuff like barbecues as space is a little limited.

I last went seven years ago and I don't remember doing any shopping (we had a shogun and a grand voyager then so space wasn't a problem) so it should be fun trying to get sorted.

Excellent news, it should also have the benefit of reducing queues at the existing Carrefour and Super-U supermarkets.

Fingers crossed that a 'Quick Burger' is one of the scoff outlets.

If you don't want to queue at a supermarket head for Mulsanne bend and go down the main road towards Tours a few miles. Just north of Ecommoy there is a Super U as big as the one at Arnage. You can't miss it - it's at a roundabout on the right. Much quieter!

Lets just say - the supermarkets know what's coming and stock appropreatly!
