has anyone taken there laptop and found any wireless connections while at le mans or is there any other way of getting an internet connection on site .can you get pre pay cards that slot into the side of your laptop or use your mobile i'm a bit computer basic so keep it simple please

I saw a danish guy with his latop and satalight connection attached to the roof of his huge winnebago last year, just thought he was showing off and didnt think of trying to get access.

other than taking your own like he did, its GPRS which i didnt bother checking tbh.

I could get online where-ever last year with my T-mobile MDA PRO. As long as I had phone signal it connected.

Not that fast and pretty expensive but it was functional.

my pda is going in the boot and staying there! no way do I want to be thinking that i'm sober enough to answer a work call! hehe

Hows that different to when you are over here?

Didn't find any wifi hotspots last year, pda stayed in the boot of the car once I'd realised I'd forgotten to upload french maps for the sat nav.. banghead but phone also picks up wifi and not a bleep..

You can get EDGE coverage, which is like 1.5 x's faster than GPRS, but as has been said, leave your kit at home and enjoy the break

We used a 3G card in Houx Annex last year when someone locked their keys in the boot of their car. Worked fine, quite fast, bloody expensive!!
