Looks promising - 6 astons, 5 corvettes (love the sound of that V8
) and 2 saleens in GT1.
GT2 has the usual mix of ferraris, panozs and porsches.
LMP1 has three audis - 2 North America, 1 Joest was only expecting 2. The 2 pugs are there as well. (anyone reckon that the joest audi would make an appearance in the LMS?). The 2 pescarolos there as always.
LMP2 looks as fragile as ever. lets hope that rml can win this year before the porsches and acuras arrive next year.

I reckon the chances of the Porsches turning up as anything but customer cars are pretty limited. The ACO regulations are skewed to prevent an LMP2 from taking an overall win (except in the event of the fastest cars retiring) and I cannot see the Penske version coming over here just to win LMP2. Whether Acura will come or not is another matter, but if they do, I would think it much more likely that they will upgrade to LMP1 for their debut (when the Acura brand comes to Europe.) But will they take on the diesels?
The ACO will move heaven and earth to keep LMP2 as the second tier category, unlike in the US where IMSA need competition for Audi, so have altered the ACO regs to suit their own strategy.
I was at a press conference at the LMS test weekend at Ricard and when asked if ALMS cars would be allowed to compete at the LMS round in Interlagos Patrick Peter said, "Only if they conform to our rules. The Porsche and Acura will have to limit their power to conform to ACO LMP2 regs or they cannot compete."
