Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good campsite (atmosphere/toilet/shower/near pub!) within easy commute of circuit?

Thanks

or you could try chanteloupe which normally sees 100 or so cars in very nice grounds 100%clean and they hold lots of events for the guests and is a really friendly atmosphere. and its in chanteloupe which is just north of the circuit and only a 5 min drive away.

5 minutes? Blimey - what are you driving? - a rocket? It's actually North of the City so I'd say 30 minutes is more realistic (I drive through the place a lot.)

There's a village called Ecommoy about 7 miles south of LM where we camp. The site's right in the middle of the village (well sign posted) and it's really great:

1) There's no thieving;
2) You don't need to book a space - in fact you can't. Been there for many years and never had a problem getting space for 20 of us;
3) Clean showers and loos;
4) Habitated by lots of petrolheads having a laugh and suitable for kids;
5) Loads of places to eat (and drink) in the village'
6) The mayor (and other dignitries) will arrive at the campsite on the Friday evening and will welcome everyone with lots of free wine.

It's about 10 minutes by car to LM and we've found it infinitely better than the official LM campsites at the circuit.
