Speedferries Dover Terminal Change

I have only just realised that Speedferries now operate from the Hoverport and not the Eastern Docks, as they did last year.

For those who wasn't aware of the change either, here is a link to the directions page

Yeah they changed a little while ago, we sailed from there earlier in the year!

Shame as we are on the P&O so won't see all the nice cars sailing on the similar timed speed ferries crossing!

It does cut a lot of the crawling through Dover in the traffic to the other docks out which has to be a good thing. Unfortunately I missed my outbound boat a few weeks ago so eneded up on P&O anyway so haven't had the chance to see what the facilities are like there, I wonder if they'll be any worse than the glorified public convenience that is the Speedferries Boulogne terminal!

They also no longer take Motorbikes - anyone intending to go on two wheels (and has already booked) beware...

The new SpeedFerries facilities in Dover are pretty limited - no more than they have in Boulogne, or at least there wasn't at Easter but I don't see how they will have added any more (except they may have finished the painting now!). Good thing is that the holding area at Boulogne has moved and is now outside the facilities so a much shorter walk if you want a drink or the loo.

There were bikes on board when I crossed at Easter - is that a more recent change?
