I have to say i'm getting a bit worried about the weather. I'd really hoped that this year (being my first) would be cracking weather... It better hurry up and get here!

No point worrying about it. The weather will do what it will do and there is nothing we can do about it so why fret?!

I think we've had 5 scorchers on the trot now tumbleweed, if it's your first time, i can't really stress how hot it really can get a Le Mans, pack some serious factor sun cream and a hat

I'll second that.

I think it was about 37deg C on the last day in 2005. VERY hot. Be warned.

Personally I'm hoping it will be dry, but a little cooler than recent years*.

We have had a couple where our group just formed the human sun dial - all shuffling chairs around every 10 minutes, trying to stay in the shade of the gazebo!

* I'm especially hoping for a cooler Wednesday - putting a tent up in the Le Mans sun is never fun. OK doing the outside but as soon as you have to go under canvas...Umm, sweaty.

Too right. I was red raw by Sunday afternoon last year. I always come away from Le Mans with sunburn and blisters. cry

not sure I remember the breeze, do remember walking to a restaurant during the race and nearly fainting with the heat, it was oppressive

2005 was really bad. The last wet race was 2001, and that was VERY wet. I hope it isn wet, but not too hot. Bloody hell, we sound like englishmen abroad, dont we!

try accuweather - http://tinyurl.com/3bsxny

they do a 15 day forcast, although last year it wasn't particularly accurate until just a few days to go.

It's only too hot when the tarmac melts and the road surface starts to break down!

A nice rain shower about 2am on Sunday would cool things down well - but we'll probably get a downpour like in 2002.biggrin

Here's another site that might help, but frankly any weather forecast, even for tomorrow, here in the Sarthe is crap.I think it is best to arrive and put your finger out of the tent to find out frankly.
