Perfect Car for le mans?
Discussion
If you could take ANY one car to Le Mans what would it be and why?
You'll still have to get your camping gear in... still have to drive it on a camp field, and still enjoy the weekend without worrying about it too much...
My ultimate Le Mans weapon would be a DB9 Volante... fast-ish, boot space for the tent and you can have the roof down, and its full of british heritage...
failing that I wouldn't say no to an M6 Convertible, but then I am biased!.
Your sights are set WAYYY to low.
You want to be thinking more along the lines of Dauer 962 and if there's no room for luggage then dump your passenger.
And when you say M6, I hope you were meaning McLaren M6. Didn't know they did a convertible though...
And there's no need to worry about cars such as this at Le Mans. The more attention it attracts, the safer it is, as there's always a dozen pairs of eyes on it at any one time.

I'm not a fan of convertibles but I'd have to say my old mans car is failry near the ideal car to my mind.
Estate - get loads in it and doesn't attract too much unwanted attention.
4wd - great for dodgy surfaces, fields, sh!tty roads etc.
280bhp V6 - enough power for fun, and cruises extremely comfortably.
Worth IRO £5000 - Lower value generally means less worry...generally
Hooge sunroof - great alternative to a gaytop*
It's a Mitsubishi Galant VR4 Estate, lack of heritage I know but it's what we've got so...
(*IMHO of course)
