I've booked Maision Blanche Grandstand this year - sounds like the viewing from here will be awesome.

However, what are the facilities like inside the grandstand? I booked one on the start/finish line a couple of years back and it had toilets/shop/bar within the stand itself. MB sounds a bit more basic - do you have to leave the grandstand for a beer for example?

Yep, brill view of the chicane and you can see all the way up the start/finish straight as you're actually in line with it.

Nowt in the grandstand itself although there's usually a beer stall just behind it. Bit more of a trek for toilets but we use MRI and they're not far from there.

I rate Maison Blanche as the best grandstand all round, although it's a little bit removed from the pits. Great view of action into/through and out of the Ford Chicane, and because the grandstand is angled you get a great view all the way up the pit straight with noise too! Also see all the cars entering the pit lane. There are no facilities whatsoever in the grandstand but there's a bar etc nearby. I've been using Maison Blanche since 1996 and no other. Like others I'll be there via MRI, and their facilities are nearby. R.

The biggest problem with MB is that the seats have no backs. It can be a strain sitting there for a long time (for and oldie like me anyway) but the view is stunning so worth the pain!

You're absolutely right, cooperlola, but the view and noise are all worth the discomfort! R.

I won't be making my way to the roundabout on the back of a pirate ship this year, I can guarantee it!

Thanks for the picture, Mark, see you there?

MB does sound like the best view which is why I booked it, but would have been good to have some more "exclusive" facilities.

BTW, I will never be booking with MRI again and would not recommend them.

It was my Stag do in Le Mans there last year and they were less than helpful when a couple of problems were encountered, when it would have costed them nothing to help me out. Especially after a party of 14 of my friends/family had all booked through MRI because of me.

Maybe a bit harsh, but I wasn't happy last year.

FYI I have a last minute general access and maison blanche grandstand ticket, and also a camping spot at musee due to a last minute drop out.

Looking for what I paid from Team Langoustine, so:

£85 musee camping
£50 general entry
£100 maison blanche grandstand

May not get back on this thread so if interested, email me at: bartlett_ed (at) hotmail (dot) com

thanks
Ed

I'm sure you'll be fine, I went with MRI for about 5 years! Just don't expect any customer service or support and check your tickets are exactly what you ordered.
