Reminds me...need to set up some playlists. Although I'll be switching between the iPod for shuffle moments during the drive down and the MP3 player on the SatNav routed through the stereo for those times when I need directions.

Bet I'll have the Charlatans on there to remind me of the storming gig they played last year

Must correct you there...Sweet Home Alabama.....Lynyrd Skynyrd. Add Freebird and you're well on the way..the live version will take you from any channel port to the campsite driving

Because I wasn't going to Le Mans when it was booked and have blagged a place later, I am going down with my dad. A search of his CDs on the way to a planning meeting at the pub currently shows

REM
James Blunt
Sarah Brightman
etc, etc

I may have killed myself by the time we get there!

i can imagine 'mr blueskies' by ELO will be played at some point on the trip, for no reason other than it was played lots on our drive down last year.

steve mcQueen - sheryl crow paperbag might get an airing too...

i'd like to hear 'fuel' by metallica, 'benzine' by rammstein, 'as heaven is wide' by garbage [gran turismo tune] 'just a day' by feeder [gran turismo again] [actually, feeder are good for road trips...] but usually the other guys choose 'cos they don't like my 'rock and roll' music...

Some Carpenters, maybe a bit of The Osmonds. Might even stretch so some Paul McCartney and Phil Collins if I'm feeling a bit radical.

Oh how my passengers are going to love the journey down !!! biggrin

The first 20 seconds or so of "Traveling with out moving" are just pure bliss. Especially through a good system.

What is that car ? Lambo Diablo ?

If I can be arse'd to work out how to eject the CD in the CD player I will take some music, but the be honest the stereo in the Lotus is that rubbish I am not sure I'll bother. Might take the MP3 player with the radio tuner and listen to that on Play All songs.
