After 5 months of building the car, It passed its SVA on Monday, it's with the engine builders to sort out a timing problem which has now been sorted.
Pick up the car on Saturday, Bikini Hood fitted Saturday PM, Polish the car on Sunday, Viper Stripes put on Monday AM, then catch the ferry 7pm Monday night.

Will have to run the engine in on the way down and back, by the way it's a 5L V8 Westfield.
320BHP, works out at 480bhp per tonne..... Hope it does not rain!

Hope you all have a great Le Mans!

Not this year.
My track record over the last 2 years in my old Westfield was made it down twice but trailered back.
This is i'm hoping the car will make it there and back in one piece with me driving it!

wow 480bhp per tonne - we'll know you're coming when we hear you feathering the throttle? wink

sounds a lovely motor.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago with a brand new 4.6 - if you're getting it Saturday, drive somewhere 500miles away and drive back (probably with overnight stay)! Get serviced, and engine run in for Le Mans!

It'll KILL YOU if you have to drive everywhere at 3-4000rpm!

I've just put a new 4.0V8 in & so far, what with the weather, I've only done about 60 miles frown

Engine has already been on the dyno for a couple of hours.
Just have to take it a bit steady, do not labour the engine and also vary the speed.
