Anyone ever taken one to Le Mans ??? . Been thinking we could fit one out for a dozen of us with sleeping upstairs and tv screen and cooking eating downstairs . Take a samll marquee for extra sapce on site .

There's a mob who camp in Masion Blanche who come down in an old Routemaster double decker......have done for a few years now.

it would be tempting, especially in full Jagermeister livery or something, but the 35mph cruising speed would put me off!

We've considered that in the past, but weren't sure about getting it there. Ferry must be extortionate, same rates as HGV I guess?

£150 each way for a 7.5 tonner on freight from Dover to Calais, so somewhere just above that i guess. and the beuty is you dont have to book, just roll up, pay and drive onto the next ferry.

That includes full truckstop cafe style breakfast / lunch / dinner (depending on time of day) for driver and drivers mate!

If the bus is over a certain age you can drive it on your car license can't you? As long as you are not carrying fare paying passengers?

I'd love to buy one of those buses, dunno if it will fit on my drive though.

We saw (probably that one) driving home on the N138 on the Sunday last year. Hats off indeed smile
