In-ear head phones like these will keep a lot of sound out. Well used on an aeroplane and you wouldn't know you were there.

RS components would probably be able to deliver what you want...

I prefer a snug set of in the ear headphones coupled with a cheap set of ear defenders over the top. The advantage is when, yawn, the diseasels go past and you don't need the dB protection, you can lift the defenders and let the lamb chops on either side of your head cool off without missing the commentary. This year I've been a bit frivolous and splashed out on a set of these I wasn't quite secure enough in my masculinity to save the ten pounds so I bought the black ones. Hope that helps.

Another vote for the Shure's - great at blocking out outside noise and some of the best sounding headphones (let alone ear-buds) you can get.
