Camping at LeMans Annexe update.
Discussion
Well it seems that the Annexe will NOT be available next year.
This was from the ACO through Team Langoustine.
So Le Houx is going to be like rocking horse plop. So get your orders in now!
I have also learnt that TL have secured the entire camping area inside the circuit at Tetre Rouge. I think it's called 'Hunaudieres'.
Quite expensive, but private and at the track with the pub at Tetre Rouge a 2 minutes walk. I know where I'll be in June !
Failing that it's Blue or a long walk.

Best of luck guys. Trouble is there are quite a lot of established agencies with long history with the ACO and very little camping space. They are all going to be fighting for alternatives to Annexe. Trying not to be pesimistic, but inside the circuit near the villiage at anywhere other than Beau is unlikely.
There's nothing wrong with beau. Last year it was a bog, but it's been years since we had weather like that and next year will more than likely be back to baking.
I would say that Beau is going to be very popular next and maybe a bullet should be bitten and get a chunk of that.
Only my opinion, don't shoot me for it. Best of luck

Long way out though. Especially when the race is on and the roads are closed! Or does the tram run down there?
The tram is finished, finishing it's trial runs, and will be fully operational next month. The nearest tram point to Mulsanne (in fact the whole circuit really) is the terminus at Tertre Rouge. Plenty of parking and during race time accessible from Mulsanne via Ruaudin. The Boule d'Or bar at Mulsanne (main Tours road) went bust Saturday but should be sold and open again for next year, hopefully this time with owners who don't think the takings are all profit, and also with the restaurant up and running properly. The other bar behind the Boule d'Or, the Mersenne, is open again and run by a nice chap. Good watering hole now.Yup, it's a ways from the actual main circuit and you have to go via Arnage on the back roads to get there but space is getting very limited wherever you look. Not a bad viewing spot though.
I will need to speak to Andy at TL. I understand that they are trying to get Mussee as well as Houdraines. Mussee doesn't have any bog facillities and we used HA this year. I'd like to know what the set up will be now that / if HA isn't there anymore.
I'm happy to stay in Mussee again although I maynot be driving next year but that's for another thread.

Musee is good for access to the circuit. But with the Annexe not being available, this meand no usable facilities, toilet/shower etc.
There is a loo block a bit further up the hill towards the Dunlop bridge, but it's a bit of a hike from TL's patch last year.
I am also pretty certain that because of this TL will not be using Musee.
Give em a buzz and get in Tetre Rouge.

I am awaiting some initial feedback from the rest of 'my group' re LM 2008 before I speak to them. I got a mail from TL saying that they were trying to get Mussee as well as Houdraines and if there are facilities in Houdraines then it will be just as easy to use them as it was to use HA. The ones near the Dunlop Bridge were a hike!
At this time I'm not in a position to make any booking cause I'd like to do something special travel wise next year but that is dependant on others.
