I received an email today from the ACO telling me that the Le Mans test day will be Sunday 1st of June 2008, the 24 hour race will be 14/15th June 2008 and the Classic will be 12/13th of July 2008.

Can't wait. Only 7 months, 25 days, 21 hours and 25 minutes until I have to leave to catch my ferry.

There is something of note in that email though that hasn't been picked up....

"Inauguration of the Maison-Blanche track: the Maison-Blanche layout, a driving school near the Bugatti circuit, will be revamped during the 2007/2008 winter: It will be extended and will have different access roads to enable several layouts to be used. It will also have 4 permanent pits, new guardrail and gravel traps. The aim is to use it to complement the Bugatti circuit in the context of the diversification of activities offered by the ACO (different training courses, driving school, club activities, etc.)."

I think it was Guy who mentioned a while ago that the ACO had said their were "issues" about MB camping next year - presumably this is the explanation?

Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the end of MB?

With talk of Houx annexe dissappearing and now MB, the camping options are getting fewer. Which is strange, as they are very proud of the record numbers each year...

It looks as though the Goodwood FOS and the le Mans Classic are on the same weekend, not very bright all things considered.
