Hello, does anyone know when Le Mans will be confirming the campsite allocations? As I have got a place with an agency but I'm just concerned if the agency doesn't get enough allocated and hence I might end up without a campsite.

Thanks
Thomas

All this panic and we're months away.

You will always get a camping space. Whether it be in your site of choice is another matter. Don't worry about it!

They confirm the allocaton to those who apply directly to them around the New Year so I would imagine agencies find out around the same time.

yes it's been drifting further on each year as I understand, back in 2002 they were confirmed in late September, nows it's sometime mid to late January.

Things I've learned in the last few minutes from PH:

1) no showers in Technoparc ( that's that out then)
2) to book Houx with Team Langoustine you have to also purchse a Grandstand ticket (which I don't want)

pants.

Why not try TL at Tetre Rouge. As far as I know, you do not need to buy race tickets to camp there.

Where did you here this from as I have provisionally booked with Team Langoustine, they have said at the moment I have got a space but I haven't requested to buy grandstand tickets so from what your saying I'm not going to get into Houx with them.

http://www.teamlangoustine.com/purchase.html

on here, under "Campsites"

perhaps I'm wrong, but it looks like a spot in Houx now costs £224 FFS.

Doc
Why don't you get your Houx ticket from someone else if TL's policy offends you so much.
I know why thay have to sell Houx like that and it's not their doing. So give Just tickets a ring or 1st tickets and see if thay can do any better !

MadMac, why all the bad feeling? This is supposed to be a forum where people can get friendly impartial advice.

Unfortunately Doc I don’t think you will be lucky enough to find a Houx ticket at this late stage particularly without any further obligation to buy something from one of the agents. There are some more agents listed here on beermountain’s site plus some advice.

http://www.beermountain.com/ then click tickets at the top.

I spoke to TL about having to purcahse a grandstand ticket with a Houx camping spot and they said that it was a condition of the ACO not them.

You could always flog the grandstand ticket later.
