Ford GT in gt1 or 2

anyone heard anymore on this?
if you don't know what i'm talking about then it's like this:-

apparently someone in the 2008 le-mans 24hour will be racing a ford GT.....i am now drooling!

As far as I know there are a couple of GTs in the British GT3 Championship and one in GT300 in Super GT in Japan. There were murmurs of a GT1 contender from Doran Racing in the states but that went quiet ages ago

A Ford GT at LeMans and Ford GT40s at the Classic LeMans.

There will be a Ford GT in the US Le Mans series next year. Don't now about the "proper" race

In this weeks Autosport (Nov 29th) omn page 5 and 19 there are pictures of a Works blesses Ford GT.


Funny it seems to have the 'Jaguar Leaper' on the sides

Nice idea, but the car ticks none of the entry-criteria boxes that the prickly ACO demand (however the WR's always used to get in...).
