Does any one know what the daily surcharge mentioned on some of the ticket agency websites is that has to be paid on arrival (and in Euros)? Is this some cunning French idea to cash in on single cars dropping off large numbers of people and tents?

The camping tickets are officially Weds-Mon, so if you want to arrive on the Sunday, Monday or Tuesday you now have to pay the daily surcharge. The Robdogs.

aah yes the "supplement"

Having already given them your hard earned cash for a camping pass if you wish to camp at an earlier time in the week (mon or tues nights) then you have to wedge up before they will let you inmad.

Last year at Maison Blanche I seem to remember it being 15 euros per night?

handy if you have cash, i dont know if they take card

Whitebaron

oh yeah - the supplement tickets goes on the car not on the people inside so supplements required per camping pass/vehicle

The application of it seems to be a bit random, we've arrived on Tertre Rouge late afternoon / early evening on the Tuesday the last 2 years and not been charged

We arrived at Houx Annexe on Tuesday last year, and I think it was only an 8 Euros for the 'extra' night, which you had to buy at the Houx entrance.

Yes folks there is an 8 euro charge per vehicle for Mon & Tues
Details can be found on the ACO site in the 'ticket office' .
There is a very pretty pdf file with all the stands and camping grounds on it.
