Hello all.
Me and a girly friend are doing the trip for the first time this year. We are looking for camping, preferably inside the track. BSJ is a little far away, so looking for available alternatives.
Other posts seem to suggest the Houx Annexe is the place to be. Is this true and why, also where can I get a ticket from?

I am sure I could search for this info, but it's much more fun starting my first thread.

Team Langoustine my friend. Several threads on here already and I think one of them is sticky at the top. Give them a call and see whats left, they'll give you all the details you need (I used them in 2006 for LM).

ETA The sticky thread has nothing in it so just pasted the website link. The HA site is a good starting point, saves on the walk from BSJ, close to the track, close to the Stella Bar at Tetre Rouge, next to the Friday antics by the roundabout.

People who like the Annex like it because it's (traditionally) the largest camp site, the one with the fewest rules and not track-side so you can sleep.

It's still not clear what the Annex will be like this year as a percentage of it will have been turned in to a building site for the new football stadium - how much will go is not clear at the moment.

OK
We've gone and done it.
Ferry booked and Houx Annexe campsite booked, we even bought Grandstand places opposite the pits. Took all of 2 minutes all through Team Langoustine. Very easy and we get T shirts and something to carry our bottles in FOC

Cost a lot less than we thought it would.
1 X Annexe + 2 X Lagashe + 2 X GE + Speedferries Dover-Boulogne £443
Can't wait now. Roll on June.

Good job! The TL guys 'should' be a good source of beer and food aswell. When we booked in 2006 we didn't see them until the Saturday as they were buried further within HA in an area which we didn't realise existed.

So next job is to work out what stickers you need....

Apparently they have a site not far from Houx Annexe and all Team Langoustine customers are welcome to visit and have a drink as long as they wear the Team shirts. Marquee, music, satelite and next door to a pub too.

I won't want to come home.

This dedicated site is in the dip behind Tetre Rouge which is enclosed by massive 8ft walls. The lack of toilets in this area resulted in the wall being well watered last year. You're just 2 mins from the Stella Bar and about 5 mins from HA.

I wonder if previous TL customers get to use the bar? scratchchin

Stickers.
Have a word with Andy at TL and try and blag a big Prawn.
Then join anyone else with big prawns on their cars travelling down. As you have bought your crossing through TL, there will be lots of others donning the prawn in that ferry to convoy down with.
If he won't relent, then they will be for sale nearer the time.

See you there, we're booked in the TL campsite at Tetre Rouge with ACO grandstand tickets too. If you see a few TVR's give us a wave or come over and say hello.

Off to pester Andy now for a big prawn sticker.....
