I know it is 5 months+ till Le mans but I have just noticed (and purchased) this cheap seating implement for my Le Mans trip

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2...

At £3.24, doesn't matter if it only last one trip.smile
Packs small and OK to sit on although, that does depends on the size of your bum! laugh

It's in the 'clearance' section and ends (so they say) 29th January so may need to be quick.

You'll find that most uncomfortable dude. Much better to get a proper folding canvass chair that comes in a bag that you can sling over your shoulder.

I'm going to take a canvas one for when 'on camp', just thought this would be better for when around the circuit? Smaller, cheaper etc

If it's rubbish I'll just bin it and carry the other one! (or save it as an offering to the pikeys on the Monday!)laugh

Yeah. Don't scrimp on quality. The £10 versions from Tesco will break. The best ones I have found are at Blacks for about £20 and have a bag with shoulder strap. My advice would be to take 2 chairs as well.

Indeed a cheap folding stool will result in a most unpleasent Le Mans experience..

Decent quality canvas chairs (with beer holders) are vital.

No, use it, it'll be great (fun for the rest of your group when you're too pissed to sit on it without falling off laugh)

I fell asleep on a three legged folding stool whilst watching the race once. Only woke up when my nose was embedded in the earth. biggrin

Our local Donnay in the outlet store near us has golfing type brollies for £2.49 each - I intend to buy 5 or 10 to take away. At that price they're disposable and I can also donate spares to the wettest looking individuals as required.

Similar to 2006 where ///Mike passed out on the grass in his sleeping bag and coat only to wake up bright red and sweating like a rapist at around midday having royally cooked.

Trust me!! forget all those folding jobbies as they generally break unless you pay £15 upwards. Plus they take up room in the car. We always buy these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hhsw-Vela-Chair-Forest-Gre... from carrefore at about £5 each and leve them for the Pikeys. There comfy and if they get wet you wipe them down.
