Anyone Stayed in Technoparc...???

Just wondering what the consensus is for the site, location seems good with Karting Nord opposite with good viewing points plus the location will be good for listening to the action...

I have previously always stay in Houx Annexe, I appreciate it will be completely different, just wondered...

If anyone has experience, please pass it on..

I haven't ever had a shower at Le Mans in the 15 years I've been attending... Who wants to walk around in the soap scum, mess of other smelly campers??

10 Euros buys a perfectly good hose pipe from Carrefor for hose downs.. perfect..

I agree a fair walk to the village, but to get a 3 min walk to the trackside has a certain appeal, especially as the series of corners by the Go Kart track are so good.

I think I'll go with it...

Houx Annexe is fast loosing it's appeal for me over the recent chav filled years..

Yup. And to be fair, the start/finish is not the only place where the action is!

The view from in the trees down at Beausejour is awesome - and a lot of fun playing commandos and hiding from security in bushes

On the other hand (and to see just how many levels of quoting we can build up) you can't get quite so ripped off for crap food if your out of the village/can't buy a model car/can't buy obvious knock-off F1 lanyard/can't get to miss the start/end of the race due to the Dutch fans flying flags larger than their country between you and the track.

It's no good you will never convince me BJ/Technoparc end is better,trust me I've done both. Being so close at HA means we can visit the track many times a day during the weekend including the Dunlop bridge to Tetre Rouge section which is probably the best bit.Also a short walk and we are at the Mulsanne straight.We always wander over to the Karting viewing platform late saturday night,then down to the main stand/start line.

Never stayed there - but the access looks like a front spoiler killer on anything low.
Raised kerb and a few broken planks to get in and out..

Stayed there twice, and quite like it actually!

It's a bit of a walk to the "main" area, not great when it's baking hot and/or you're knackered, but it's a nice grassy field, not too big or crowded, and chilled atmoshphere.

That said, there didn't seem to be much partying beyond the confines of our particular site, until Sunday night anyway. But nobody complained about our noise, so it's all good.

If you're stuck for somewhere, I'd reccomend it. I've stayed there, and on Bleu, nothing that really makes one stand out from the other, except Bleu is maybe a bit closer to the entrance, and the fun and games on the road.

IMHO it depends what you want from your site. If you need to be 2 mins from the track and must have electric power, its not for you.
If however you want an unlimited pitch size, easy access in and out for your car at any point during the weekend and a laid back but friendly atmosphere, its great.
It got busy leaving on Sunday last year but the same applied to most sites. This will be our 4th year in Technoparc.

Only thing thats bugging people is the lack of showers.. But avoiding the mile long trek and mud bath that was BSJ last year is a real bonus..

Yeah the lack of showers is the only thing. But there are sinks and stuff in the toilet block, and queues are usually minimal. Or you could go for the car shower thing, we've got one and it's surprisingly effective.

not Spay, the campsite there was fine, large pitches, plenty showers/sinks/toilets that were always clean, cheap, im surprised more people dont use it, being a couple of miles away it did help that out driver wasn't fussed about getting boozy, after seeing the state of some campsites near the track last year id rather get my wallet out and get a taxi from spay
