Circuit Parking
Discussion
We're booked into a hotel outside Le Mans for the race weekend, and usually pre book a numbered bay in EXPO car park using the ACO form and posting it off.
Noticed this year that we could have booked it online early, but now the online numbered bays are sold out.
Looking at the ACO website, I’m guessing there will still be some left for postal applications, but we're contacting the ACO to find out about this.
Anyway, are the ‘non numbered bay’ general car parks any good, Rouge, Rotonde, Vert? (they can be booked online now).
On turning up Sat and Sun morning, are we likely to find no space available, or are the ACO accurate at selling the right number of tickets for the number of cars that will fit?

For the past 12 years I've been in Parking Blanc. In this car park all spaces are reserved and you get your own space for the duration. This means I can come and go as I please and know I can always get back. For me it has the bonus of being very near two circuit entrance points, and also to Maison Blanche tribune where I normally have a seat. Like other parking areas it's a bit of a sod to exit right after the race so I usually stick in the circuit for a couple of hours until traffic congestion has improved. I've paid E32 for a space in Parking Blanc for 2008.

Just ordered a space in Rouge.
Anyone got experience of this one? Is it the one which looks like its on a bit of unused land, and has an unmade surface?
Toe tags says it's ok on Sat morning, but do you think we'll get a space on Sunday morning?
Just wondering whether to try and allocate a space in Expo as well as that's the only one we know.

Rouge is an unmade surface, and fairly hilly to the west side. It gives good access to the circuit by the Dunlop Bridge
In the past I have camped at Arnage and had a Rouge parking ticket - I have managed to get a space on a Sunday morning and I don't remember having any issues with finding a space. This was about 5 years a go though.
I guess the way to think about it is in terms of the local spectators who attend on Saturday or Sunday, but do not stay the duration of the night. They are likely to use these car parks, and (I'm guessing here!) possibly turn up later in the morning. So, if you are worried, try to get there as early as possible.
Personally, I have never used pre-marked spaces in expo/blanc, but I guess it's good for piece of mind (although expo is a little further from the circuit?)
