Friday at Arnage & Indianapolis

After the huge disappointment last year of both Arnage and Indianapolis being closed off to the public on the Friday I was wondering if anybody with their ear to the ground has heard anything about what the police have planned for this year?

Lets hope sense prevails and we can all enjoy the fun and festivities (sensibly) again this year

Asked the ACO about this last week but they don't know. It's not up to them. It's the domain of the local Flic and the mayor's office.

I'll head down there about 10am as last year. If we're moved along then it'll be the CBW for a few hours followed by an afternoon on Mulsanne. Then maybe the tram for the drivers parade.....or maybe just sit around, sup some more beers and burn some pig meat instead.

St Saturnin Welcome is a good place to be in the afternoon, so there is something to look forward to.

I can see them having the corners closed off again this year, and for a while ongoing!

I thought it was shut last year because of an accident?

I assumed that they closed it because the weather was crap and they didn't want us parking on the wet grass (which would have become very muddy) and then driving on what would be the track? Wrong assumption?

Hopefully the sun will be out this year and all will be good.

Certainly that was one train of thought last year but I seem to recall a PH member who lives in Le Mans called Lowdrag thought it was the police clamping down after the previous years frivolities.

None the less lets hope the Friday can be reclaimed as whilst the St Saturnin thing is all good fun as indeed the Drivers parade which the DTDC will be taking part in this year Friday at Arnage is a damn big bit of the Le Mans weekend for me and many others I think

I was under the impression that it was shut off due to an accident over night. That was what a Gendarme told us when we got there to find it closed off anyway.

the police are getting stricter every year we stay behind the chinese on the mulsanne the green baize grows every year they wont rest till they put them out of buisiness!
