Anyone else up for an extended trip?

Instead of returning straight back to the UK, I'm heading (with my Brother) South East towards the Alps. The route is not determined yet but we're definitely going to end up in Italy and find the Stelvio pass enroute.

Just wondered if anyone else has similar plans? Could team up...

Stelvio may not be openn by then, I'd do some research on when the high passes are open.

We were at the top of the Turini and Ventoux last week and there was still plenty of snow about and they're not that high . . .

Thought about it but it's not happening for me this year
A good route I will do one day is down over Millau Bridge, across to Nice/Monaco, play on some of the WRC stages slightly inland then back up the Route De Napoleon and home via Reims GP site. Do a search in the Roads forum and you'll find plenty of info there.

We did this in reverse last week . . Down ro Grenoble and then across including Le Mans on the way home . .

I would love to do this! Was planning to hit the ring and the hockenheim gp after the classic but things changed and thats not happening now

We're leaving the Friday before.

Ferry to Bilbao, 2 days hooning in the Pyrynees, overnight stay in alpine hotel, two nights in Bordeaux, and to Le Mans for Wednesday afternoon.

One of our party has cancelled, so if anyone wants ferry, hotels etc cheap PM me.

This thread had me on Via Michelin for an hour last noght planning routes to Stelvio & Col de l'Iseran just for the craic.

Still tempted to go back via Paris and do a C'etait un Rendezvous run upto the Scare Coeur in the early hours of Tuesday morning (chilling in France on Monday - rather than static at Rouen)
