This 'TRAM' I keep hearing about....
Discussion
Is it really going to be that much use ?
I mean, with crowds in excess of 200,000 - is it really going to be easy to get to LeMans city centre on the Friday evening or is everybody in cloud cookoo land ?
It will either need to have 100 odd carriages or there needs to be 20 continually moving trams.
Does anyone have the low down ?

Not been to the parade yet so maybe this is the year. Can anyone give me some thoughts on doing this please? We are staying in Basejour. Cheers.
The parade is a must.Though I do have to add, it ends up being a night out, on the piss, with your mates, in France. Which is nice.

Normally starts at 1500 for us and ends about 5 in the morning.
Just head Centre Ville. Place de Jacoins or Place de Republic will get you there. The Club Arnage guide will have details. It is long enough, in route and time, that you can do the whole route. This means you get to see a little of the town; see a variety of vehicles, do a pub crawl.
Still not managed to find a decent club though.

Getting into town will probably be OK. Its getting back to Houx thats a bit of a worry. Usually get the TVRCC coaches but they have scrubbed that this year. A mistake IMHO. Been to the Parade for the past 3 years but never actually seen it as we always end up in some square or other drinking copious quantities of beer and having a reet laugh!
We walked to the parade last year from HA (don't ask, we thought Carefour was near the centre
). Worked out on tomtom when we got back it was just over 6 miles!! Luckily got a taxi back, flagged it down as it dropped someone just around the corner from a taxi rank with the biggest queue. He was fine taking us backto HA, think he only charged us about a tenner too.

Took a really rancid stepthru Yamaha last year, multi coloured, excellent to get into L.M. centre ville, and not worth enough to worry about abandoning it to come back for it when sober, and gave the local plod a laugh when we tried hard to make their speed camera earn it's keep but, as my mate and myself total the wrong side of 35 stone..................
