Does anyone know if plots are ready marked for camping on Houx Annexe this year? Or is it likely to be the usual turn up and mark your teritory.
Cheers

I'm not sure if the works complete. What I do know is this is the last year for Houx Annexe and it has already been reduced in size. I'm just worried that the ACO will have sold the usual alocation of tickets and expect everyone to cram into the new reduced camp site.
Thats why I wondered if they had marked out plots, not neceseraly numbered them but made it so the could control the amount of space taken by each person/car.

take a look on google earth and HA, you'll see the 'lines' that are marked out each year by Alphonse ACO and his merry workers.

Not actual pitches but a 'guide' as to where to camp and what should be left clear for access, they are generous, not your actual 7 metre or 5 metre.

No worries if HA is full when you arrive there is always BSJ waiting for you.

all the camping tickets have a 'Z', it has nothing to do with a zone or similar.

Depends if the ACOs man in this thread is correct or not - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I've stayed in the HA for the past 4 years and have never been allocated plots. It really is first come first served. Arriving Thursday afternoon has never been a problem for us. Friday is a problem.

Its best to try and hook up with others going earlier than you and get them to reserve a place if possible... Otherwise pack a small tent, or lots of beer to bribe another friendly group ;-)

Numbered plots in the Annex, hahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont get there on friday or you will be camping on the gravel next to the toilets...........
There is no rule in this site, people will mark off their areas, then go out and come back to find tents every where........You will even get your car blocked in by tents.
If you have not camped at a busy Lemans site before you are in for a shock...

Best bet get there on wednesday.

The ACOs plan is clearly (and having seen the liberties some people currently take, correctly) to move all camp sites to marked, numbered pitches.

I've not seen mention of HA going that route for this year (and lets face it why would you go to all the hastle of mapping it out when the Bugatti circuit changes and football stadium works will change the shape of the site next yea). I believe MB is going numbered this year, a step on from designated areas last year.

way ahead, got loads. We're not gonna be all that close. We're on Annexe nord. By the tram stop and Houx roundabout.
Will be interesting to see how things have been developed around there

Will let you know on Tuesday, popping over for the test day and planning a quick saunter down to the Annexe to assess.
