Evening all.

As some of you may know, i`ve just bought a mondeo ghia x to go to lemans in.

The bloody autobox is playing up now.
It`s only an intermittant fault but do i dare risk it?

Only stickered it up last weekend too!

What shall i do?

Get it to someone who knows about them really quick and find out . . . No point taking it if it's shagged and brakes halfway there.

You can always take the stickers off carefully . ..

It could also depend how much you paid for it. I once bought a car to drive to Italy in. It was cheep enough but it made it there and back. I was all for leaving the thing were it stood if it broke down and hitching backbiggrin
How is your auto box playing up? Is it hard to engage or very slow in its select and response? When my BMW 3 serious had Auto box problems it went from slow to respond to hard to engage in about 8 months;) Then i sold the thing as a spares and repair because i was told that the box would have to be pulled and taken to an Auto specialist.
So weigh it up brothersmile

Cancel it??? yikes

Stuff that chaps!!

Autobox has the dreaded overdrive flashing light on the dash.
Basicly, the torque converter stops working when the light comes on and the box jerks into gear.

Only paid £300 for it so not worth doing.

Going to look at a st24 tomorrow,it`s just crap i`ve wasted £100 worth of vinyl.

Update tomorrow boys.

Just go - if it breaks down , it breaks down.

This time next year it won't matter and will be long forgotten. yes

You quite clearly have enough time to swap all the running gear from the ST into the stickered up shell! I'm not saying its a good idea but ... idea

Just cos it's got a sticker doesn't mean it's been anywhere near the place.....
