Anyone tried the D928 Abbeville to Rouen

My first time to Le Mans, and looking at the map this looks like a good alternative to the main A28. Who has tried it?

From Rouen to Le Mans it looks like the N138 D338 is preferred.

I've not been enough times to try any alternative routes but haven't heard this one mentioned. Would make the journey a fair bit longer (in time) than taking the autoroute.

N138 is deffo the way to go from Rouen onwards Just watch your speed (that goes for autoroute as well, they WILL be watching)

Yep, did big chunks of it a few years ago when we went down in a convoy of assorted cars.

Nice road, and ideal if you're not rushing as there are quite a few villages and junctions, but some decent flowing driving sections too.

Planning on heading down a bit earlier than normal next year and taking a scenic route.

So, the view is that the D928 could add a fair bit of travel time, to an already longish journey?

It seems that everyone is heading the most direct route to Rouen, and then the 138 - which i think is what i will do!

Like many, my stickered up Chim will look a bit "obvious"

Yep, definitely - it's an all day effort if you want to go the 'pretty route'.

Nice to do though, if you can overcome the temptation to just get down to the circuit and get yourself set up on the campsite.
