just watching the live streaming on eurosport,
mazda spun and barrel rolled into gravel trap coming up the hill towards dunlop bridge,
driver walked away !
car must have rolled 6 or 7 times..

Yeah man, looked like it hurt too. He didn't move for ages and I thought it wasn't going to be good news.

Marc Gene's crash was huge as well. Good to see the standard of cars these days holds up well. The Lola was built in Huntingdon! Nice one lads, great stuff! biggrin

Looking forward to a trouble free session tomorrow night!

That was the Kruse-Schiller Lola Mazda with Hideki Noda at the wheel. Hideki was rushed to the medical centre and thankfully he is ok. Kai Kruse confirmed on DSC that the damage is serious. Hopefully, they have the parts to fix it. Apparently, the car rolled 8 times. Not a good start into a 24 hour race. Crossing fingers...

It looked nasty from the outside, so it was good to see Noda walk away - even though his pants were sagging a bit... tongue out

Its an absloute credit to the chassi desingers that the driver walked away, WELL DONE, I realy dont think these people get enough credit.

That is a huge accident, especially at the Dunlop Chicane. Any info about how that happened then, seems an odd place for such a big roll.
