Did anyone else hear that mighty baby? The sound dwarfed all the rest IMO. Damed fantastic effort by the team as well.

yes it was ok. But the sound of the works "Vets" chasing each other through the main straight was deafening to say the least.

It was ok?? LOL!! The vet noise (other end of the musical spectrum described as noise biggrin)reminded me of an old Masseyferguson, to agricultural for my liking and not in the least like a Finley tuned instrument biggrin
But the Lamborghini was ok you say rolleyesbiggrin

Another vote for the Lambo, was chuffed to see it managed to finish. The Spykers sounded pretty damn good too (while they were running....)

The up-changes were superb ... just like someone banging a high drum as they accelerated away from Arnage Corner.

Seconded about the upchanges, but I just can't get past the Corvettes.

........fssssh - Audi
GAAAAAAARRRAAAAAGHHHHHH - Vette.

Haven't been since 06 but the Lambo is the one that we talk about still due to the noise it makes and is one of the highlights of our camera footage.

Are you still able to see the weave of the carbon fibre body work?

Lambo was great followed closely by the Spykers. Vetts had it for me though. I think I need a C6 cool

The Corvettes were true to form...American - loud and as subtle as a brick , and as was previously stated....the Lambo just sounded like a finely tuned instrument-georgeous !

Have to agree that the Lambo was the best of the modern bunch, followed closely by anything with a Judd engine.

I like my music classical so the best sound score of the weekend was provided by the Group 44 Jag in Saturday morning's Group C race. Scary thing is that I saw it first time around in 1984 - guess that makes me one of PH's more senior members...

dnt go this year, but been for the last 4 or 5 yrs, i love the way the vettes come past at 150+ and sound live a tvr on tick over!!! but i agree from the coverage on tv the lambo was just cloud9 but as mentioned before they are at totally different ends of the pitch scale!!

I think the corvettes were most impressive, but that howl of the lambo had me sat up at tetre rouge with a bag of beers for hours. Sounded even better when we were down on the mulsanne. Lambo, we salute you!

For me the best sounds came from the Mazda in the Group C race. Standing at the top of the pit straight you could hear it winding up immediately after the Ford Chicane. Deep joy!!

As for the main event, yep, I vote for the Lambo

The sound was awesome and after the frustration at the start it was great to see the flame spitting beast power past the grandstand and finish. The team were clearly delighted as was I.

That Lambo was my fave too... until the incident in the woods.

I was innocently minding my own business whilst hiding in the hedges on Indi... the Lambo went past and changed down *POP* - shooting pains down the side of my face and deafness for a few seconds!!!
