Hi all 
I know there are loads of threads running already with everyones highs / lows from the weekend. Mine is slightly different in that what made a massive difference to my weekend was all of the really useful info gleaned from these pages. I've been 4 previously times before since 1994, last time in 2006 but this was certainly THE BEST! It helped that 2 of our group of 4 were LM virgins and it was great to share their enthusiasm for the event, rather than bemoaning changes.
Before - stickering up and getting the peage transponder
Weds eve Channel tunnel (deserted!), overnight in Wimereux hotel south of Calais.
Thurs drive to circuit using PH tips to avoiding Rouen
Camp on Maison Blanche - better organised this year with reserved pitches, plenty of space and HOT showers! Dinner in Arnage.
Fri - drive to La Chartre sur le Loir and the Hotel de France, lunch etc
Sat / Sun - excellent racing. Info found here on how to get to Arnage corner was really appreciated - standing there at 4.15am when it started to rain seeing cars still on slicks and getting to the Mulsanne corner at dawn were great. Slept from 6.30-9.00 then got up to see rest of race.
Sun night - Meal, shower and long sleep at hotel in Sees

Downpoints? None really, apart from someone helping themselves to my TVR dustcaps from my tyres
Fortunately we didn't see any of the silly behaviour mentioned elsewhere by avoiding the known trouble spots, although it was noticeable there were more drunk people staggering around. However it was simply an excellent weekend for us!
