I'm part of the Beer Disposal Team that was on Houx Annexe this year. Tons of people were photographing our beer mountain, but does anyone have any pics they can post up here? You'll know which one it was, it had our team graphic on it and was ten and a half feet tall when completed biggrin

No we were the group on a corner plot and all of out cars had our team name on and we had a red van called the Beer Response Unit. If you saw the mountain you would know!

I didn't get any finished photos myself but here's a cameraphone pic that one of our group took:

That's about 1400 beers right there, which worked out at around 400 euros I think - still between 13 of us that was only about £25 a head for the whole holiday's beers, so less than a decent night in the pub really!

Excellent work that man! biggrin

The only problem is how do we outdo ourselves next year?

2006 we built a mountain with a single peak around 5 feet high
2007 we built a range of 3 peaks, 2 about 4.5 feet and one around 6 feet
2008 we built this thing at 10.5 feet

What the hell do we do for 2009?!?!?!

Try not using Mastic, you cheating swine hehe

Alternatively, if you will insist on unfair methods, perhaps a beer representation of the New York skyline?

think we should go for a curved or square one next year, won't look as big but we will struggle to put much gain on 08 as it is.

Thats an impressive mountain sir. clap

Last year we decided to go 3D due to the heavy winds, not as instantly impressive but still just over 850 odd bottles I think in this one

I think more 3D antics will be on the cards next yearwink

Sorry it was just a crappy dig at how cheap that beer is!

Awesome work chap!

Me and my mates did one pretty similar. We were in Karting Nord and dressed as superhero's.
It was 53 bottles on the base so totalled around 1,400 as well.

A beer mountain like that takes some serious hard work and dedication!

Anyone on here have any pictures of ours?

It's brilliantly cheap though, isn't it? Bit gassy for drinking in a hurry but at around £5 for 24 (or 30 if you get the promotional boxes) you really can't argue :-)

Not sure why but I really don't rate the Krony or Kunterbrau stuff - if it was 1664 it'd be good but the Krony "classic" or whatever they sell isn't as good as the 33 export... to my mind anyway ;-)

Pretty sure ours was 53 on the base so was probably exactly the same size

Take it you were the guys up on the roundabout on the Friday night too when the boys in blue made a strenght-in-numbers appearance?

Yup! that would be us.
so we both had beer mountains exactly the same size! we can't be having that now.
i feel a challenge coming on next year!wink

yeah, it was a shame about the police, they really put a downer on the whole night really. still, the action up the straight leading towards the roundabout was pretty good, if a little crazy!
