Maison Blanche - Electrical Hookup

Does anyone know if there's electrical hookup at Maison Blanche?

In previous years there has been electricity "obtained" from the lamp posts dotted around and from the generators around the toilets. This year security were VERY hot about trailing cables and hosepipes and were making people take them up.

I believe one group *may* have obtained some lekkie from the toilet block but the cables weren't in anyway obvious so security didn't seem to notice...

AFAIK there are no supplied proper hook up points (this came as a shock to a number of MB newbies for the 24 hour who seemed to believe that there were - not sure if the agencies were giving out duff info?).

Unless there were hook-ups elsewhere on the site that I didn't see?

AFAIK the only official ACO Campsite which comes with guaranteed electricity is Camping Houx

AFAIK the only official ACO Campsite which comes with guaranteed electricity is Camping Houx

And even that's a challenge

Cables snaking through the grass and water everywhere, with junctions gaffa taped together didn't look too health and safety to me

You have to hand it to the French though - combining the water taps and electricity outlets into one unit is inspired thinking !!
