Le Mans Classic reminder

Don't forget that the Monday after the race is Bastille day so all shops and garages will be closed. Main supermarkets will have 24/24 pumps and most now work with english cards but not yet all. Motorways will of course be fully operational. If you aren't taking the motorway then you'll have difficulty finding a bar or restaurant open.

Good reminder.
A day off means that some highways might be busy on friday nights or saturdays.

On the nice side, expect fireworks all night long ! + the "bal des pompiers" in every little village, with people playing accordeon and others dancing or... fighting for a girl !

I think that many restaurants in touristic places will be open though...

Lowdrag, I realise you are not here as our personal google for all things Le Mans related , but do you know where I may find information on public transport between the circuit and Le Mans town centre?

benny, there's the new tramway in Le Mans, works fine and leaves from Antares (which is near the new Tetre Rouge track entrance and near the Houx roundabout), they operate from 5am till 1am and take you to downtown and the railway station.

Benny, sometimes it seems that if people Google Le Mans they contact me - sigh. The trams run about every five minutes and allow about 30 mins to the town centre. Parking at Antares is cheap and the tram about £1 each way. I don't think that they are running all night on Saturday though like the 24 hours of Le Mans.
