LM Classic and Tour de France

For those going over earlier than my Friday ferry, then I thought I would let you know (you may say "why?") that the Tour de France is not so far away next week. On Tuesday a time-trial starts and finishes at CHOLET (about 160 kms south-west, so less then an hour by TVR), and on Wednesday there's a stage start from there.
Perhaps the lack of engines will confuse some, and the lack of noise also ... but some who were at the diesel-run thing a few weeks ago will be used to that.
Anyway, just thought I would suggest to you lucky lot out there well before me an "alternative sort of day"!

Cool! I'll have a look and see what the route is for Thursday.

Got myself a new bike about 7 weeks ago ready to get back into it and get fit ... just need to have a go on it now!

Errrrr, somewhat further away south-west I think. One of these days I would like to "enter-into-the spirit" of Le Tour (or is it La Tour?).
So, it's sunny in Yorkshire, it uses no petrol, why havn't you been on your new bike in SEVEN WEEKS?

I live in Cholet and I will watch the Tour de France on Tuesday 8 July before to join Le Mans on Saturday. If you need any info about it just ask. I will be glad to have a drink with other LM toxicated.

er, er ... been away in China, been away in China again, been away in Le Mans, had hay Fever for a couple of weeks, er, er, ... basically, it's finding the time and the energy!

Really do want to get back into though, even got the updated version of the same bike I used to race on years and years ago

How cool is that ... i had my first Bianchi when I started time trialling at 13 years old. Still think it is the best colour scheme ever, so over 30 years later it was only ever going to be one make

Couldn't afford a Bianchi when I was a boy. I got a Bob Jackson when I was about 13. Black with gold writing. I grew out of that and built myself a Kendell which I've still got!
