How do I remove stickers

I know this has been on here before, but I viper striped the car for Le Mans and it's really time to take them off now I feel.

What do you guys do to get this stuff off while leaving your paint on your car ?

Use the wife's / girlfriends hair drier to warm them up lift one edge and they should just gently peel back

Gently heat the sticker with a heat gun or hair dryer...should peel straight off.

Thanks, I hear the adhesive underneath is difficult to shift.

Do I need anything for that ?

You'll only have to buy a new one next year!!!

If you have decent stickers, when warm, they should peel off without leaving any glue.

If you have not so good stickers, the glue is a bast*d to get off. I tried intensive tar remover but it just spreads it about. Maybe WD40 or petrol might work better.

Fingers crossed they come off cleanly.

They were laser cut and dry applied by Fast Signs in Reading.

It's 7 year vinly.

As above. Heat with a hair dryer then peel slowly.

Glue comes off with Autoglym tar remover.

Interesting, I tried taking mine off using a hair-dryer and it just turned the glue into a sticky mess! After making that mistake I just peeled the rest off with little more than a finger nail to lift the corner.

As mentioned before tar remover is great for removing any last bits of glue from the edges of where the sticker was.

window cleaner is excellent...but god stickers should peel straight off, just took mine off, stripes and all....took 10 mins..not a spot left on the car

WHY? Looked pretty good when we saw it in the Team Lang Site. In fact looked the bees knees IMHO

just taken mine off, car was sitting in the sun for a few hours, I reckon this is the easiest way of melting the adhesive.

still needs some Autoglym tar remover though..

Yep, agreed. I've done this for the last 20 odd years and never left glue on the car. I used boiling water to get the stickers off my Corvette this year (some worry about boiling water on the fibreglass body) and it was as easy and as successful as every other time I've done it.

Petrol and Panel Wipe are also good glue remover - they do remove any wax / polish to so you'll need to detail again.

Hair dryer and a spare 2 hours did the trick. Tar remover also the right option.

Now to think about next year's scheme.....
