Le Man 2009
It will be my 30 and Dads 50 so we have decided to do Le Man aswell as the Moto GP & BTCC . Were not into drunken t
ts and people who clearly don't care for the race. Just want a quality camp spot so we can break out the ales & cards and get to a quality position to watch the race when needs be.
Ideally not to far from bars and stuff but far enough from Chav-Ville. I've looked at the Porsche Curves & Arnage & Mulsanne on the map. What do people advise, and would getting there Friday midday mean getting caught in traffic chaos?

Go for Thursday at the latest as there is still plenty to see.To be honest you need to find a Hotel for your requirements!
But pot luck might get you a quite spot.
You could speak to Brian at 1st tickets and tell him what you want and he may put you next to us!
We are quite, sensible and clear up all our rubbish and camped at Maison Blanche this year which is next to a bit of track.
That camp site is full of stones and we are looking at a Camp-Car for next year, but it has marked out pitches and if you get there Friday you WILL need a marked out numbered pitch.
It was fairly quite and sensible until someone set fire to the rubbish skip on Sunday night, so leave after the race to avoid bonfires etc.
STAY AWAY from HOUX, but Karting Nord is pretty good and next to the track.

I think you mean Houx Annexe.I have stayed in Houx for the past few years and its fine. Its a proper camp site, unlike Houx Annexe and has very good security and no nutters (that I have ever seen).
Houx Annexe is a different matter but the good thing about Houx is that you can go for a wander around Houx Annexe to see the antics then wander back to your nice site across the road when you have had enough.
It sounds like you want to be on the Houx campsite (as said NOT the same as the Houx Annex campsite) as it's the most civilised place to be (you even get numbered, marked pitches with free water and electrical hookup to run fridges, lights, etc).
Although many of the ticket agencies may have already sold their alocations in Houx, should you develope a sudden interest in TVRs and join the TVR Car Club they don't release their alocation for sale (to members) until around Feb...
