I'm looking to stay near Omaha beach on the Sunday night coming back from the race. Anyone got any good recommendations please?

I'd thoroughly recommend Château de Bellefontaine on the outskirts of Bayeux. Stayed there a few years ago, beautiful chateau/rooms, and within walking distance of the town centre. I think it's about £100/night for a double room (B&B), they don't do dinner but there are plenty of restaurants in Bayeux.

Stayed there twice now. Very close to what I presume you are interested in. Nice hotel - excellent breakfast. Very flexible on cancellations etc.
