Worth a visit, especially if you are driving a classic as you become part of the 'show'.
Go in the morning/head back to the camp site for lunch and you miss the traffic that starts to build up as people head in to town for the drivers parade/the retards get to full-twunt level and start abusing people just trying to drive past Houx Annex.

We have been going for the last 5 years and each year is different, one car is usually the focus, with Aston, Healey and Ferrari having been the main display cars for the last 3 years. The event is on both Friday and saturday and the displays and stands for food and club related items are excellent.
Worth going to the screening of films in the main hall.
Walking around the car parks takes up most of the time with some excellent old cars and a chance to chat with both british and french petrol heads.

I managed to get into a friends GT40 Rep, a couple of years ago and we did the parade which starts for there as well! He does it every year.
That was real fun in a car with no windows and hot water pipes running up to the front! We got hot! But the Vikings loved the burn out!

Last year at about 2.30pm a riot of huge Harleys thundered into the car park, horns blaring, sirens bellowing out, lights flashing, large engines reving, all in the cause of attracting as much attention as possible. Brilliant. I guess there was 40 or 50 all dressed up, in party mood, laughing and joking with each other and the crowd. I loved the real American police bikes with their wide range of noisey sirens. These bikes lead the cavalcade of motors into the city for the Parade de Pilots still making a brilliant spectacle.
As one of the organisers I'm somewhat biased but we do try our best. Entry is free and the main interior parking is restricted to cars of note whether they be ancient or modern. If you get refused please accept that your car is probably "on the cusp" to those on the gate! Everything is in place for 2009 and we'll be open early as always. Plenty of stands, car wash, several bars and eateries plus a live jazz band and lots of fun. See you there I hope! If you are already on site at the circuit you need to retrace your steps towards Alencon and we are only a mile or so from the Auchan shopping complex. Last year we had over 1,500 people coming and going during the day. Lots of fun!
I see no problem with a Viper since any Ferrari gets in but sometimes, like last year, I had someone complain he wasn't allowed in with a Mk 1 Escort. The french guys on the gate have to make a decision and the other parking isn't far anyway - perhaps 200 yds. Some people though (no disrespect intended here) have a rather inflated idea of their car and try and create merry hell because their friends get in and they don't. Similarly with the actuale parade sadly; if I had a pound for every time I've heard "I'm with him and we are doing the parade together", despite no paperwork I'd be a rich man! Please accept that those on the gate are doing it for free and are french with, in the main, no english. We'll never get it 100% right but in the main we try to. I look forward to seeing you all and my new rather rare Jaguar will be just inside the main parking entrance on the right.

I always smile when I get waved in and the lads in the A4 get moved along to park elsewhere.Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the car washing fella always does a great job. It's 'free' so just tip the bloke a few Euro's and you'll get a nice shiny motor - until you return to the campsite of course.

You DO realise you've just told all these people where YOUR car is going to be parked don't you? 
Daer Mr Lowdrag, was it your Jag that was spilling petrol all over the place in the assemble area a couple of years back?
The starter had decided not to play and petrol was leaking all over it "don't worry its been leaking like that for a while, it will stop once we get going"!
Me and my friend Paul tried to help by shorting the starter contacts when I said DON'T do that with petrol all over it!
