Dover/Dunkirk at £38 return

I live at Le Mans but I got an email today from someone I'd never heard of, www.ferrycheap.com. They are offering a return fare at £38 even during the peak period of Le Mans. I've no idea who they are and perhaps (I haven't checked) it is available with Norfolk Lines direct and they are just trying it on but whatever, what with the Speedferries and now the Seafrance problems, it might be of interest to you. Worth a look perhaps?

That's the price that Norfolk Line did for White Rabbit Racing last year. Good deals usually always available with them direct though

We've booked with Norfolk line for LM, after a fuel duty surcharge the price is a very reasonable £45 return for a car and 2 people.

We used them last year and although its a few miles in the wrong direction the service was spot on with fast boarding and unloading garlic side.

Does seem like a very good price. Went Speedferries last year, so an alternative is needed for this year.

I have run some quotes using this link for cars. £38 return fantastic.

I ran this for a bike to be presented with near £140 return.

Luckily, if you go straight to Norkfolk lines themselves. This is only a £50 return.

The French put the final blow in Speedferries which shut them down. LD Lines happens to be French and has started taking up the old Speedferries route........

We always do Norfolk line and we are again this year, we will be meeting Lowdrag at several times during the week, on the note of Seafrance......my pal here works for them and I have seen the memo they all got sent, the word is that they will be looking for 300 job cuts and the 2 old ships to go which means that they will rely on the 3 new ships, looks like they will be getting Government help too, LD have already recieved government assistance and as rightly said here starting the old Speedferies route up, there is also Euroferries going from Ramsgate too...........one concern is that P&O have kept very quiet where they stand in this economic climate.....

BTW the nearest crossing from LD for my vehicle on the times/days we are crossing is £57 - £48 on Norfolk and NO coaches....great joy

Looks like we will be doing Dover - Dunkerque again this year. We had thought about doing Portsmouth - Le Havre, but a couple of the lads havent got any job security at all and could be out of work at any time. Cheapest option to make it more accessible

I booked this recently, never done the route before and although the route is a bit longer and the crossing is longer too, i think it makes for pretty good value for money and was really easy to book with them over the phone.

For the last couple years we've redeemed Tesco Clubcard points against Eurotunnel vouchers which effectively gives you a crossing for a quarter of the quoted price.

This year it's cost us £25 per car and it's quicker (and smoother!) than a boat.

Weve booked Dunkerque to Dover , for the return , none of the other crossings were much good for us.

£26 one way for 3 inc car. Had to book via aferry.to to get the price in £ though, the norfolk line website would only show in euros (39)!

Don't tell everyone that, now they'll all be doing it! :-) My wife thinks I'm quite sad when I get excited about how many clubcard vouchers I'm collecting but it's all about Le Mans!
