I'm not 100% , but i've read it's the 1949-1965 sportscars.

So would this include the GT40 which started production in 1965?

Where did you read this? I thought we'd just got the new Formula Le Mans. I don't remember even getting 2 support races?

Of course, they might be having trouble with the Formula Le Mans (money, building them, selling them etc) so might have decided to go back to the old sportscars. I'd hope so!

Not as good as seeing a lorry swooping through the Dunlop chicane and under the bridge DURING the race...while Heir Rockenfeller tries to repair the un-repairable[/url] at Tetre Rouge in '07 http://jalopnik.com/cars/24-hours-of-le-mans/mike-....

Well, there does seem to be some confusion over the Saturday morning race since the ACO had specified the new Formula Le Mans cars. However, since I was speaking to someone last week who has entered three of his cars, a D type, a C type and E type I guess that it is back to the old formula. On that basis the GT40's would be excluded since they are far too quick to race against much older machinery. You'll have to wait until July 2010 to see them on the circuit again!

Or not.............

It's a good thing as if the GT40's were likely to be racing, one of our group would have to be at Le Mans working and not relaxing like 2007.

Updated to say that it seems he is on a busman's holiday this year. Seems they have an invited to take the GT40 prototype down.
