Seems all we can get for Le Mans is Dairon. We really wanted Beausejour, having been there the last few years. Anyone think they will put more passes on sale for Beausejour as it's stock exhausted on the web?

Edit - It's 7 passes that we need. I think we're screwed.

There will still be some 'agents' with tickets available, and I'm sure White Rabbit Racing will have their tickets on sale pretty soon, and they're usually based in Beausejour. These haven't gone on sale yet so there should be availability.

I expect E36GUY will be along with info soon enough.

We already have the general admission tickets, so point booking with just tickets.

I've been allocated 3 camping spots on the site next door to BSJ. Unfortunately this comes with 6 grandstand and 6 general admissions.

I wasn't clear - we got just the camping tickets on their own, as we'd already booked general entry through lemans.org.

BSj passes should be freely available as so many people have turned them down.
The ACO have bumped so many members to the ste sites that many have sourced tickets for the better sites from a number of sources, not just the massively overpriced agencies.
You may want to have a trawl of some of the other LM fan sites... we turned down 20 BSJ at the ACO discount rate.

I've got my tickets through Tickets2U Ltd for the last two years and this one.

They appear to still have tickets for a number of the campsites.

Yes, but this is the time of year when ACO sends out all the letters with final allocations following p[revious formal requests from the public for numbers of specific camping places, tickets etc, that were ordered several months ago. It seems that a number of people have not heard from ACO yet or have not got the precise allocations that they ordered so they could be split up from their mates, for example. Hence the concerns expressed here.

Yeah, the point I was trying to make was that the whole "Panic! Tickets are running out!" scenario is that of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'll admit to being an old bd, some would say miserable old bd, but back in the day (Group C years) one would bowl into town, drive to the circuit, choose which campsite ya' fancied and pay for a ticket on the gate. This, of course, was before people, you people, started booking tickets months in advance and even worse started booking with various companies who bulk buy tickets to sell on to desperate people, you lot again, at a higher price, thus leaving no tickets for the more free-spirited visitor.

So my advice would be to "chill out" (is that what the young people say these days?) and sort out your camping when you get there. As a last resort you'll always get tickets for BSJ 'cos it's just a field in the middle of nowhere full of piss-heads and Danes - who'd want to pre-book a ticket for that?

But that's just my opinion...

That's right, it's my fault! I tried to book a site through the ACO, I applied in July and picked my sites (Tetre Rouge, Expo or Karting Nord) and Tribune (18, 19 or 16) and got allocated by the ACO last week some site next to BSJ and Tribune 12. Fortunately I booked through one of the ACO offical ticket agencies to get Tetre Rouge and Tribune 19.

If anyone is at fault it's the ACO, not the folk who go to watch the race and like to know which site they're staying on. It's so easy to go "back in my day" but that I think is just a form of dementia and depression where you want everything to be like it was when food was rationed, you could leave your front door open, children were angels and milk was delivered to your door with a whistle at 6am.

Le Mans has grown so much that having 200,000 people converge on Houx campsite on a Thursday just isn't feasible. The ACO like to coin it in so appoint agencies to take the burden off them and spend more time looking at the regulations so that a French diesel car can win for once.

I agree with both sides of this argument, if that's possible wink

This year it does seem that the clamour and panic for tickets is happening earlier this year, and there seem to be more threads on here about it.

I also agree it's not helped by the ACO having zero interest in doing a decent job of allowing people to book and pay for camping and tribune tickets on-line. Sending in a wish-list and keeping your fingers crossed that you get anything, let alone what you'd like, is ridiculous IMO.

Granted the ticket agencies make this process somewhat less random, but they're also playing on our worries about not being able to get tickets so people end up booking earlier and earlier, so the problem gets worse ! It would be nice if we could *just* buy a camping pass without having to also buy general entry tickets because I'm sure there are ACO members out there who aren't able to take advantage of the discounts available to them because they're obliged to buy a package.

But it is what it is - we've moved into a realm where spectator numbers mean a free-for-all isn't viable and where the ACO has decided it doesn't want to be in the business of being a ticket agency so has, in effect, 'outsourced' it. You're not going to convince any of the parties with a vested interest in this process to change it unfortunately. Cold reality is that there's money to be made.

Our tickets will be online very shortly, just awaiting the website re-design to go live. ETA 7-14days.

At least the agency prices are reasonable. TR may be £128 from an agency and only 85e direct which makes them about 25% more expensive. Considering the appointed agencies must also pay a premium to get these tickets the mark up isn't too bad.

Look at other sporting events though. England rugby matches at Twickenham - unless you are a union member you simply cannot get tickets unless you go corporate. Boxing - I went to the Hatton v Mayweather fight and of the 16,000 tickets I think 100ish went to Ticketmaster, the rest were casino's and agencies where we paid 3 times the face value.

If you don't want to book with an agency then don't, simple as.

Yes, I do believe the ACO bears some part of the responsibility but the problem is that the crowds have grown and grown over the years and they don't have enough staff to cope with the demand so in effect they "subcontract" by selling off a lot of the tickets to agencies who then sell them on to you. From a business point of view it is cheaper for them to do that than to employ temporary staff who in all probability would fork it up completely. Add to that the problem of reduced camping areas (the new stadium) and some people taking enormous amounts of land (I've seen fences set up on the annexe around "their" site encompassing probably 10 pitches) and it is small wonder that all pitches will now be numbered and sized. Now if you lot would stay away and let us locals get around as usual without several hours delay then all would be fineideabeer
