Beauséjour any good???

Hi guys and galls,
I've been to houx annexe last 2 years but have been allocated Beauséjour this year, as didn't get on the case early enough!!
Is it any good, and how far is the walk from the entrance, or should I take my chances on ebay last minute and get ripped off,lol

its not a bad campsite but a long walk to the village good for the porsche curves though at sunrise - if you are use to staying at Houx you may be dissapointed. if i where you i'd go the ebay route and stay where you want.

Depends if you like walking, we always stay there & never had any problems with it.

Has it's advantages, near Porsche curves. You can walk/ bike to Arnage/ Arnage corner and plenty of good viewing areas that are out of bounds

You dont need to take your chances on ebay. Loads of agencies still have tickets for other campsites and you get the garantee of going with a reputable agent rather than paying someone now an elevated price who hasn't even received their ticket yet.

If the weather's good it's a lovely spot as it's far more countryfied than the other campsites and is only a short hope through the trees to one of the most spectacular views of the whole race.

If its dry its Ok. But a long walk to the pit area 1/2 HR there is a noddy train but again you have to wait for it! If its wet thats another story. The Baeausejour site is just farmers fields, they sort of run a tractor over the fields to cut the grass before people turn up, then you have to be aware of the cow patts. If it rains the entrance in and out of the site becomes like a scene from World War 1 Trench warfare!!! If you do decide to camp there, look for slightly higher ground and access (even on a flat looking field there are high spots) Dont pitch up on nice soft ground, (its soft for a reason, it gets WET)

we stayed there last year with whiterabbit racing, it was my first le mans trip and i wasn't disappointed at all as we took pushbikes which if you ask me is a 'must have' at le mans as there is a lot of walking.

it is a farmers field and it did rain but fortunatly it didn't get too muddy.

Beausjour to the grandstand was about 15-20mins on pushbike
to arnage corner was 45minutes on pushbike if you went the wrong way through the village instead of following where everyone else was walking DOH!
taking the correct turn to arnage corner would have taken about 10mins on pushbike

I've been twice before and both times to BSJ.

First year was raining non-stop, and yes the entrance and parts of the field were flooded very badly.
People I know came back to "rivers" flowing under their tents.

Last year I went back there - despite the rain I wasn't put off!

To me its got a good "party" atmosphere, and I like the fact that people don;t traipse through your area to get the the track (ala Karting Norde etc).

Of course, I have no experience of other sites to compare it to, but I wouldn't discourage you from staying there!
