I'm leaning towards getting one of these for the weekend.

I've one specific question about them that i'm hoping someone will be able to answer. How many sets of headphones can be plugged into a single unit? I seem to recall sesing someone with a couple of sets running off one, but i could be wrong.

I'm also interested in general feedback on them, good and bad.

On these, can they be picked up on the weekend or do you have to pre-order them before the race weekend?

Had one last year and there's only one headphone socket from memory. You could always get a splitter (single male plug/twin female sockets) for a couple of quid to share it.

I pre-ordered last year but they were hawking them on site. Unless your turning up late Friday I wouldn't expect any problems walking to their stand and hiring one there and then.

Well worth it. Extra transmitters this year so better coverage. Was pretty cool to be stood in the cider bar behind Dunlop Bridge watching the 'roo and waiting until the last minute before heading for the grandstand as we could see all that was going on.

Don't worry about charging batteries either, you can just swap them at the stand for full charged ones if you have no power.

Can't say as I remember either charging or changing batteries over the weekend and it was on most of the time.
