Camping Expo - anybody experienced it?
Discussion
Hi guys,
My mates and I have decided a bit late to head down for the race this year. Managed to get a couple of camping tickets for Expo - has anybody else ever stayed there? Last time I went a few years ago we were in Karting Nord and loved it. Bit of research on beermountain has revealed Expo is half concrete and half cattle sheds...
Look forward to your comments!

I actually quite like it. It is close to the main entrance, 200 yards from a bar, in recent years the toilet and shower facilities have improved dramatically, easy to get to C4 and back, and the Sunday/Monday pikey problems are reasonably non existant.
The only downside, depending on your preferences of course, is that it is a lot quieter than some of the other campsites - not much in the way of fireworks, quieter atmosphere etc.

Hiya,
My first Le Mans trip in 2006 I camped in Expo after getting the ticket off Ebay. I actually put the tent up inside one of the cow shed/shelters. 2006 was a really hot year and it was nice to have the tent out of the sun. Was a fairly quiet site , toilets and showers were ok. I found the location excellent right near the main entrance and the bar opposite came in handy....
Hope you have a great time...
This is my 4th year and heading down on my own camping in Blue Nord...

Its all been said really. I have camped in Expo for several years now. Its quieter than ost sites, easy to access the circuit and the pit straight and dunlop bridge are equidistant. Its realteively easy to get into Le Mans, Carrefoure is easily accessible, and there is a Boulangerie within walking distance.
However the ground is very hard for tent pegs!
