Following on from the A28/N138 discussion I was wondering where the best place to stop for a croissant would be for us? We're being turfed off the ferry at an ungodly 6:30am on Thursday morning. I guess we're going to be far too early to see anyone except the people who shared a boat with us.

If we stopped at Sees at 8am would there be anyone around? Any other suggestions? Beaumont-sur-Sarthe?

Cheers,

Steve

We used to stop in Falaise - there's a little town square there with a cafe on the corner - pretty quiet just the odd local having a early morning cognac and coffee...

Cheers. That's quite near Caen isn't it? I suppose I was hoping there would be a spot where other brits would be passing and a chance to see some tasty machinery arriving from other ferries etc.
