TV Coverage???
Discussion
Ive just seen an advert on ITV4 with Le Mans included in their June sports programme, it did'nt give details of the coverage but just wondered if anyone knew anything more???
Are they showing the race live in full or just highlights??
We watched the practice last year on Eurosport + the football and planning to do the same again

Not sure about ITV4 or Eurosport, but Motors TV is showing the whole race live, as well as the drivers parade on Friday night and full live coverage of the warm up and practice Saturday morning.

unless they have got it again this year
And, does anyone know if any of the terrestrial channels broadcast the race?
I know it's SECAM rather than PAL in France, so most English TV's won't pick up the signal or it will be black and white.
But I've seen some 7" screen digital TV's on eBay that are going for around £50-£60 and claim to receive SECAM. I'm thinking that for the cost of a KangarooTV rental, you could have your own device with a bigger screen and take it home with you again. Might have to also take a radio for English commentary but that's no great hardship.

As I understand its only on EuroSport not French TV. No a normal Freeview box wont pick anything up in France unless its a satellite receiver box connected to a dish. To watch the race on EuroSport you will need a Sky receiver plus your card matching the box plus a dish of course.
I wouldn't steak my life on it, but I'm pretty sure my in-laws terrestrial freeview telly works in France. Maybe someone on here with a motorhome has tried it?Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
