So how was it?
Discussion
Id say it was no worse than normal for general trouble making, I suppose there is no going away from it. I may just be old fashioned. The race itself was great, the last hour being fantastic. The weather was probably the best ive ever seen there, I got burnt to a crisp! Got about 1500 photos, no looking forward to editing them all!
I thought the chav element was low this year. Arnage was fun to drive through instead of annoying, and I heard Houx was quiet too. Overall it was a great LM, but there seemed to be slightly less Brit LMers than usual on the drive down.
Great to see so many PH stickers and T's around the place.
to all of you.....a few dodgy rip- offs too (letters are in the post)
Highlights:
Meeting loads of new and old friends
PH campsite BBQ on Friday night
Weather
Waddington Minge & Seymour Vadge.
10.45 outward ferry crossing queue conversations/ laughs
Avoiding RWR rules (again)
Being asked if I'd raced my car in Le Mans race when boarding ferry home in the Focus RS
Catapaults and air raid sirens
Slide show of girlie pics on the side of a Sprinter van
Gulf bus and the top lads who were behind building it.
British welcome and PH Mulsanne meetings.
My rather spacious tent
A few laps on Tony H's go-ped.
Arnage curves
Aston garage tour...and pitlane noise
Blaming Mr Will for everything
Corvette noise
N138 drive there and back
Peugeot pit lane calamity
Reverse bungee (x 5)
Too many to mention them all

I would have said loads better on the chav front but a lot quieter I had a great time
Yeah, a definite reduction in numpty-numbers... priced out by Euro/Pound rate this year? In fact probably a reduction in numbers all together - nothing like as busy as I remember '06 and '07 being?Much quieter & certainly nowt doing at Houx roundabout, it's very odd down there now with a vastly reduced in size campsite, the new Bugatti Circuit banking and a huge main gate.
Only say 4 PH Le Mans tees all weekend - and i was wearing one of them! Far fewer stickered up cars this year too I thought.
Oh, and superior weather too (wouldn't be British if that wasn't mentioned

Only 4 PH tee's? I saw LOADS. Thought it was excellent this year, great racing plus an unexpected highlight for me was being directed into the "show" area of the Great British Welcome instead of the spectator part. Only wish I'd cleaned the campsite mud off my car first
I was in Garlick's RS when we arrived at St. Saturnin and the chap on the door didn't share my view that it belonged in the display car park. The "stare straight ahead and keep driving" approach got me in...
I saw a lot of PH tees, and one particularly nasty collection of knock-off PH tees. I suppose having counterfeiters is a sign of success

Are you the chap with the bashed foot? If so - hope it gets better soon!
Anyone see the Limo on Friday night with the blonde with modified boobies hanging out of the window around Houx? Bless the Danish lad that got a double handful...
She came back through in the front seat playing with herself... quite random but made up for not seeing the Hawaiian Tropic girls.

Great weather (once wednesday was over)
Better campsite facilities than last year
Cold beer and nice food
Good racing
Aston Martin noise
Getting out of the campsite at the end only took 45 mins instead of the usual 2hrs+
-
Some thieving pikey maggot nicked my wallet out of my tent while I was asleep on saturday night
Not bothered about the money but loads of hassle replacing all the cards etc, etc inside
Was it quieter again this year or is it just me???

About half a dozen chavs late teens,(most with their tops off) walking under the tunnel near the pits threw a firecracker/banger type firework. These are the ones you throw on the ground and make a bang. The idiots did this twice, the second time they threw it in front of a guided tour by Hankook.
It could have caused someone hearing damage.
It ashamed me to find out.
1. They were English.
2. Two of the group who found this funny were wearing Pistonheads T-Shirts (one of them wrapped around their waist).
