Campsite sizes

Just thinking about how much space we need next year, has anyone got any pictures of their setups, and how many passes they had so I can visualise it?

Sizes were a joke thiss year lucky we had two pitches otherwise we would have been screwed that was in houx annexe next year we will certainly be camping in houx .

In Bleu Nord pitches were 5m x 7m.

We had 2 of these (5m x 14m) which we had 7 people, two 3man tents, one 4 man tent and fitted 3 cars on. Also had 4 person picnic table, room for 7 chairs and space for bbq etc.

We were fortunate that we actually had a bit of extra space (5m x 3m) at one end of our pitch as there was this gap between a hardstanding road and our pitch.

I think the later arrivals will have done better space wise than the early ones. We arrived in Beasejoir Wednesday lunch time and were shown a row of spaces that weren't that big (apparently 7 by 5m?). Luckily our neighbours had a tape measure with them which showed they were well short. As it was tent car and table/chairs (2 of which "dissapeared" Friday evening) wouldn't fit then. Will have to book a couple of pitches next year.

Our group was fairly lucky, the French bloke who 'measured' our pitch last Monday for 7 passes was somewhat long-legged, so we got 55m for the price of 49! Enough for 2 cars, 1 Landie, 3 bikes, a mess tent/gazebo, horsebox-bar, 7 tents and a skittle alley

This was 6 x standard pitches of 7m x 5m. There were 10 of us with 4 cars and a large van. The site is from the Z3 on the left to the white van on th right. One very large gazeebo, 2 x large tents, a toilet tent, a double shower cubicle.

The general rule-of-thumb is each pitch you will get 1 x car and 1 large tent. This year we had 2 cars, 2 medium tents and a 3m square gazeebo giving us plenty of room. Best thing to do is do a dry run before you book. Measure out an area you tink will be big enough eg 2 pitches measures 7m x 10m. Park your cars in it and erect the tents etc see if they all fit in.

Two smallish tents and a car will fit into one pitch, depends what you need I guess! We had a couple of bbq's behind my car too.

I fancy going in a 6 mtr motorhome next year ( done the camping for 4 years now and fancy some luxury) wheres the best site for motorhomes with awnings ( about 6mx5m would be ideal) but which also has power.
