Seen a few sporadic speeding threads so thought I'd start one off for 2009

The French police were kind enough to pull me over and confirm my speed for me at 163km/h on the way back. A 90 Euro fine and no questions asked, was a bargain if you ask me just please to keep the licence and the car. Lesson learnt.

I heard further on down the A28 just before Rouen people where getting done for doing 138km/h and that this trap alone had done over 40 people by 3pm.

The trap was probably that gendarme monkey hiding behind a road sign...almost comical being able to just see his little legs dangling below it. A chap who passed us at speed with a silver CLK Black was pulled at the following peage.

I'm sure that the cameras can't be enforced across borders yet can they? If they don't stop you at the time then they can't get you.

Chris and I left earlier and whilst I always keep a lid on it around Rouen anyway based on past experience, didn't actually see a single Flic all the way home.

We were running late for our Sunday-lunchtime train and maintained 115 most of the way to Rouen, until we realised there was no chance and stopped for lunch. We were certainly driving faster than everyone else, generally people were being very sensible. Didn't see any gendarmes at all, which was pretty lucky.

I got done at 157km on the way out of alencon - 90 euros so not to bad. ZS was with me aswell in his viper, he got 135 euro fine and his license taken away, so my mate had to drive the viper back to cherbourg. Also saw a guy in an SLK get fined 750 euros...ouch!

I saw quite a few people really going for it, after I got done I slowed down to 81mph on the dot and saw a silver GT3 and a black Landrover sport absolutly caining it, I honest believe the Landrover was flat out and must have got done at the next trap that i passed near Rouen.

We saw a speed trap on Arnage straight heading up towards the Porsche Curves on Friday, but fortunately we were able to slow down in time. Stopped at the curves for a photo of our cars and a 997 Turbo came past in the opposite direction absolutely nailing it towards the hidden copper (he overtook a speeding bike). As he got closer the French policeman stepped out into the road, at which our Porsche driver stopped, span the car around and drove as hard as he could in the opposite direction. If it was someone here then you are a very, very lucky boy. Had it not been for the fact that the chase police biker was dealing with a Corvette that had gone through moments ahead of you then I think you'd have been dealing with a bit more than and EUR90 fine....

got stung with a 90 euro fine for doing 152 kph on the way down thursday... pulled in at the peage and saw four guys in dresses in an x5. the driver had just handed over his licence and 750 euros for doing, in his words, "about 135 mph, not too sure?" lucky escape for me!! rofl

I was driving the other way and was flashing him like mad as he overtook the bike. Pissed myself laughing as I saw him turn around and come flying back.
