at 6am me and Fatboy18 made it to the 2nd chicane from the inside of the circuit...didn't really get a brillaint view without being spotted so didn't spend long there...but was about closest we got to the racing all weekend!

We ended up there; more by accident than anything else... it followed a long walk across fields through woods, over fences and dealing with every terrain imaginable. Worth it though, next year I'm going to try and get there during daylight hours so I can see a bit more.

We spent a good 30mins right next to barrier.

Was surprised at just how easy it was to get there smile

We took the same route as last year and spent ages laying against one of the barriers at the fastest point of the track. biggrin
It was amazing and when two Corvettes went past at the same time the shock wave and noise was unbelievable. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Went up to the Restaurant on the Mulsanne Straight and then a short walk past it and over a small fence and crouched by the barrier for half an hour.

Was superb.

Pretty simple trip again this year! Glad we did it again during the daylight, im sure des may be along with some more videos.

Attempted to get closer to one of the chicanes on the Saturday night but the lovely French marshall told us we needed a hi-viz jacket!!!

Maybe next year!

Managed to sneak in next to some marshals on Sunday morning who didn't seem to mind us being there. Then 3 gendarmes turned up and we thought we would be ejected. To our surprise they just went back to their car and came back smiling with their speed gun in hand and started to try to zap the Pugs. Funny!

I mentioned this on another thread, but here's our story...

After a couple of years of trying we managed to get to the Mulsanne this year at about 1am, we spent ages crouching down then crawling through the grass Commando style. We watched for about 15 minutes, then decided to head home. While then on the way back we passed some Brits but they had Bicycles and torches, and were strolling along bold as brass!!!
